BIOGRAPHY
Born in La Paz, Bolivia in May of 1976, Sergio Daniel Caballero (also known as Dany Krom) initiated his career in press photography in 2005 covering for magazines and local newspapers. In late 2008 he returned to Bolivia, working with FIDES News Agency and later with Reuters. He founded Afka Agency in 2009, which he directed until he resigned in 2011. During this time he was invited to work as the photographer of the President of Bolivia, Evo Morales, to cover as a consultant, the presidential activities, inside and out of the country, which allowed him to capture historical moments such as the World Conference on Climate Change, COP 15 in Denmark and the Presidential Inauguration in 2010, among others. He fulfilled this role until 2012, at which time he decided to emigrate to the United States. His photographs have been published in different media written both in Bolivia and in the world. Author of 4 books: “Looking for the Devil” (2015), “Retrato de un Indio” (2016), “Anima” (2017) and “Mater Saltu ISIBORO SECURE” (2018). His work “Salt Made Men” was featured in Long Lens of National Geographic and one of his photos was included in REUTERS selection of the best pictures of 2009. His photograph on the disaster of Huanu Huanuni was presented by Sara Facio in Argentina and is located in the Latin America collection, exhibited at the National Museum of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires. Currently Dany Krom is a resident of New York City and develops stories of humanitarian and cultural interest as a freelance photographer.

Nacido en La Paz Bolivia en mayo de 1976, Daniel Caballero (conocido en el mundo de la Fotografía como Dany Krom) incursionó en fotografía de prensa durante el año 2005 cubriendo para revistas y periódicos locales. A finales del 2008 trabaja con la Agencia de Noticias FIDES y posteriormente colabora con la Agencia REUTERS. En 2009 funda la Agencia AFKA, la misma que dirigió hasta su retiro en 2011. Durante este tiempo fue invitado a trabajar como fotógrafo del Presidente de Bolivia, Evo Morales, para cubrir como Consultor Externo las actividades presidenciales dentro y fuera del país, lo que le permitió capturar momentos históricos como la Conferencia Mundial para el Cambio Climático, COP 15 en Dinamarca, la Posesión Presidencial de 2010, entre otros. Cumplió este rol hasta el año 2012, tiempo en que decide emigrar a los Estados Unidos. Sus fotografías han sido publicadas en diferentes medios de prensa escritos tanto en Bolivia, Chile, Argentina como en Europa y Norteamérica. Autor de 4 libros: “Looking for the Devil” (2015), “Retrato de un Indio” (2016), “Anima” (2017) y “Mater Saltu ISIBORO SECURE” (2018). Su trabajo “Hombres de Sal” ha sido presentado en el Long Lens de National Geographic y una de sus fotos fue incluida en una selección de REUTERS de las Mejores Fotos del 2009. Su fotografía sobre el desastre de Huanu Huanuni fue presentada por Sara Facio y es parte de la colección Latinoamérica, del Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Actualmente Dany Krom es residente de la ciudad de Nueva York y desarrolla historias de interés humanitario y cultural como fotógrafo free lance.
